Dardanus, by legend the founder of Cortona and more famously Troy, is supposed to have lost his helmet (in Greek corythos - also the root of the name Cortona) here during a battle with the locals. The area was for a long time a stronghold of the Etruscans and has a wealth of archeological and cultural remains to discover during your holiday. Here too you will find ample evidence of Roman, medieval and Renaissance influences. This is a small, welcoming hotel with seven well-furnished, fully-equipped bedrooms offering luxurious holiday accommodation in one of the prettiest parts of Tuscany. It can be reached swiftly and easily, being served by the Autostrada del Sole A1 -Valdichiana exit-, state motorway S.S. 75 to Perugia, exit direction Cortona, or exit to Castiglione del Lago, at stop turn at your right and take S.S. 71, after Terontola, Riccio and Camucia, at 2nd traffic-lights turn at your right direction Cortona, skirt the external walls and follow the sign for Corys.
