BY Sea:
At the port: Both ferries and fast boats depart for Ischia about every hour, from 6AM until 10PM. Tickets may be purchased as one-way or round-trip, and there is a small extra charge for luggage. Purchase your ticket at the ticket counter at the port, as you will not be allowed on the boat without a ticket. Fast boats (catamarans) cost approximately twice as much as ferries, and arrive in half the time (around 50 minutes). To give you an idea, in 2006, a one-way ferry ride to Ischia cost about 7 Euro and arrived in 1 hour, 30 minutes
