Car taxis: From the Marco Polo Airport it takes 15 minutes to get to Piazzale Roma, the price is approximately 30 euro. Once you reach Piazzale Roma you can easily start your tour of Venice on foot or by waterbus.Private Water taxis: From the Marco Polo Airport it is the fastest mean to reach the historical centre - approximately 30 minutes - but also the most expensive. Bus ATVO: a direct connection from the airport to Venezia (Piazzale Roma) that takes about 20 minutes; buses leave every half an hour. Venice is always clearly sign posted. Once you have arrived near the lagoon, get on to the Ponte della Libert a long straight line with two lanes linking Venice to the mainland -follow the signs for Venice and you will arrive at Piazzale Roma. Here you have to leave your car and start your adventure in Venice, on foot or by waterbus. Other possibility is leaving your car in Mestre - parking it in the small car parks before you reach the Ponte della Libert or in those opposite to the railway station of Mestre and reach Venice by bus or by train (ten minutes ride)By train Santa Lucia is Venice's Train Station. It is connected to the rest of Italy with Eurostar trains, Intercities and Interregional and local trains.Inside the station there are trolleys for your luggage which can be taken up to the waterbus stop by using the side exit of the station, thus avoiding the steps outside the main exit.You can leave your luggages at the left luggage office (near platform 14) open daily from 6am to midnight.
