 Introduction
Diano Marina is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Imperia in the Italian region Liguria, located about 90 km southwest of Genoa and about 5 km northeast of Imperia. It is shore of intense beauty, sandy beaches surrounded by a vegetation in between the exotic and the Mediterranean, palm trees, agaves, maritime pines, olive trees, citrus orchards, this is the gulf of Diano, a large inlet between cape Berta and cape Cervo.
Diano Marina is the most known town of the Gulf and it is considered the leading place of the area, with its Hotels and Residences, its sandy beaches and the well patronized night and disco clubs. Diano Marina is the ideal place to stay all year round, for the mildness of the climate many people coming from all over the world are living in this area. Located just east of Imperia, Diano Marina is a Mecca for shoppers, tourists and sun seekers. The city has excellent facilities with a wide selection of interesting shops and cafes within a pleasant pedestrian mall and the surrounding area.

The nearest Airport is Genoa International Airport (Aeroporto Internazionale di Genova Cristoforo Colombo), located six kilometres west of the city centre near the town of Sestri Ponente provides service to Genoa. Airlines include, Air Dolomiti, Air France, Air One, Albatross Airways,Club Air, Lufthansa, Ryan Air and Transavia. Volabus runs from the airport to Stazione Brignole train station, east of the centre.

Archeological area
In between the railroad and the sports ground, there is the archeological area that preserves the small Church of Palaeochristian origin, dedicated to Santi Nazario and Celso.
Palace of the Park
On the promenade, after crossing over Via Aurelia, the Palace of the Park houses the civic museum that holds pre-Roman and Roman findings, also Napoleon and Risorgimento relics. The building was constructed towards the first half of XIX century and today is the center of the Civic Library and the Archaeological Civic Museum.

With its tourist harbor and facilities and the opportunity to practice a variety of sports (from traditional diving to go-karting, bowling and mini golf), Diano Marina is the heart of the Gulf. If you wish, you can take a boat that passes by the most important locations along the Riviera dei Fiori and takes you to do some whale-watching off the coast.
The Paradisi village
The Paradisi village (beyond the bridge over the stream San Pietro) includes the greatest concentration of hotels, premises and shops where one can enjoy a few relaxing hours of shopping on the way back from the beach.
Diano Calderina
Diano Calderina is a small Ligurian town located above Diano Marina. The town got its name from its strange characteristic having to do with its location. The temperature here whether summer or winter, is always 2 degrees warmer than down on the coast.

Infiorata del Corpus Domini - May & June
A great event is the marvelous display of flowers during the solemn time of Corpus Domini. The streets of the town are covered with flowers arranged in special patterns.
